A historical marker recognizing W&M Alumnus Art Matsu ’27 was unvieled Saturday morning, April 30, 2022 at the north end of William & Mary’s Zable Stadium. Zack Hoisington was on hand to represent the Matsu family. In addition to Hoisington, speakers at the event are to include President Katherine A. Rowe, Asian Centennial Committee co-chairs Francis Tanglao Aguas and Deenesh Sohoni, and Benming Zhang ’16, J.D. ’20, who did his Master’s thesis on Matsu. Also attending will be students from Cumberland Middle School, who nominated Matsu for marker. The unveiling, which took place on Matsu’s birthday, was also part of William & Mary’s ongoing Asian Centennial Celebration, recognizing 100 years of Asians studying at the university.
